April 01, 2008 Board Meeting Agenda Item #26 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #8127 FOR CONCRETE SERVICES Description Bids to provide 'Concrete Services' were received from seven vendors on March 6, 2008.  The bids of McLeod Land Services, Inc., and Superior Concrete Construction were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications.  Holland Enterprise was non-responsive to the maximum mark-up fee for materials, equipment rental and subcontracted services.  This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods.  The funds for these purchases are contained in the capital budget allocated to the Facilities Services Department. Recommendation That the bids of McLeod Land Services, Inc., and Superior Concrete Construction, to provide 'Concrete Services' in an amount not to exceed $400,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
